Life is too short to be in a hurry.
Henry David Thoreau
We are a society in in a rush. People are sleeping less to squeeze in more work. Multitasking has become the norm. Stress levels are at an all time high. And before we know it we’re old and approaching death. Sorry folks but that’s reality! Someone who worked for many years with hundreds and hundreds of elders, found that most, if they could live their lives over again, would spend more time in “reflection”. Now is the time to stop the rushing. Begin that personal history of yours that you’ve been putting off. Take the time to capture Mom or Dad’s story before they’re gone. You won’t regret it.

One time I had a patient who told me we needed to cut our office visit short.
He said, “Doc, you gotta hurry up. I’m late for my stress management class.”
I didn’t charge him anything, ’cause I didn’t think I could help him.
