  1. Dan, I loved this post. It was not only beautifully written, but also a beautiful sentiment. I have letters from my parents and grandmother that I have stashed away since we moved everything out of my parents’ house a few months ago when we moved my dad into an assisted living facility. I know that they will be special reads because most of them are from the time that we lived overseas and my mother especially looked (and described things) with her artist’s eye. No doubt those letters will bring back vivid memories for me. I admit that looking over those letters has been something that I’ve put off for a number of reasons, but you inspire me to delve into them. Thanks for the encore post!
